The other day I was asking my mom whether she thought the apocolypse would actually happen in 2012 or not. She responded by telling me she had no idea but that she wasnt getting any vibes that it would. (My mom is very spiritual and relies heavily on her feelings about things.) She ended the conversation however telling me not to think about it because it is possible that we as a population can actually will it to happen simply by believing in it. I thought this was an interesting idea so I wanted to share it.
Some religions I guess think that anything can happen and anything can BE if it is willed and believed in strongly enough. I'm pretty sure it is the Buddhists, for example, that believe that everyone has the power within in themselves to BE God. All one has to do is realize this potential, believe that it is theirs and true, and act upon it and so it will be.
Another example is when people hear about a sickness or virus going around and mysteriously they all begin to show the symptoms when theyre were previously in good health. This scare, coupled with the knowledge of the symptoms, actually cause the people to make themselves sick. This phenomina is especially true if many people believe in the same thing. If a large population of people were to hear about the spread of the same disease, could it not be said that they actually cause an epidemic by shear willpower?
I have to admit that I do not know many more examples of cases where things like these have actually happened, but it would be an interesting thing to study. Also, I would like to look into the 2012 thing and determine if it is just a 'figment of our imagination' so to speak. How depressing would it be if the entire world's population was wiped out just because we all thought it would be. If it is possible to stop it from happening wouldnt you like to know? Do we hold the fate of the world in our hands (or minds)? Thoughts, comments?

Time..
So this week has seemed to go by sooo slowly. Its Thursday and it feels like it should be Saturday. Have you ever noticed how if the week is going by slowly for one person, it is going by slowly for others too? Of course there are some that will say its going by quickly for them, but for the most part people will agree and say they've noticed that its dragging for them as well. Is it possible that time actually is going more slowly than usual? Is it possible that it is a very small difference and only those of us with a more acute sense of time can notice it? Are we fooled by our common sense into thinking that such a thing isnt possible? What causes this difference in time.. or the tendency for us to think there is a difference? Leave me a comment. Let me know what you think.
